Brides wear garters on their wedding day as part of a long held tradition.
In the old days, the bride and groom had to prove they had consummated the marriage. The guests would follow them to their room after the wedding to witness the consummation.
The groom would throw out the garter as part of that tradition. Today the garter still seems as popular as ever.
From narrow 1" deep garters to 3" deep, usually with a hint of blue or even a hint of the bridesmaids colour.
It's time I made some new ones as at present we have little stock left. I will up date you when I have some new one made.
