Planning your music for your wedding

Anyone planning their wedding songs at the moment? Most couples I chat with put good music (hi, epic dance party!) at the tip-top of their must-have list, but it’s not something that always comes through in all those pretty real wedding photos we share. My Wedding Songshelps couples plan the tunes behind each and every moment of the big day, from the processional and first dance to the grand entrance, bouquet toss, and everything in between.

The Wedding Dress that had them talking at Paris Couture Show

Every bride wants to be the centre of attention on their wedding day, right?

If a princess-poofy white dress isn't your vibe, you might want to consider one of the risqué gowns showcased at Paris Couture Fashion Week, where the crème de la crème of the industry exhibit their unique visions for bridal fashion this season.

If you consider yourself part-glamourpuss, part-nudist, then the 'naked' gown by French fashion house On Aura Tout Vu is the dress for you.

The innovative frock was part of the designer's bridal couture collection for spring summer and features a luxuriant jewelled bodice and a sheer ivory skirt that leaves very little to the imagination.

In fact, the only part of the body that is completely covered is the torso as even the sleeves are sheer.

The gown also happens to come with an opulent feathered headpiece, which could be just the ticket for those brides channelling a Game of Thrones aesthetic.

Joanne loves to quote Coco Chanel: ‘Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.’

“The same is true of bridal,” Joanne explains. “After we get our bride in the gown, we love nothing more than to be over the top and pile on skirts, tiaras, veils, leather jackets, shoes, jewels… anything the bride may have considered before slowly removing each piece bit by bit to reveal her true vision of her bridal self.”

Planning a 2018 wedding!

One year is nearly over and another is about to begin. Time flies when you are planning your wedding, so don’t get married in 2018 without visiting for all the best help and advice.

Getting the dream wedding dress for your big day is one of the most important elements of the whole event. Many of you will have pictured the perfect wedding dress in your head and start your search as soon as the engagement ring hits your finger!

Superstar's wedding

Sports superstar Serena Williams tied the knot with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in a star-studded wedding in New Orleans earlier this month.

Beyonce, Eva Longoria, Ciara and Kim Kardashian were all present at the 'Beauty and the Beast themed' bash, where the tennis ace married her millionaire fiancé in a strictly private ceremony at the city's Contemporary Arts Cente.

Security was tight on the day - an entire block was reported to have been closed down for the A-listers' arrivals - and while some paparazzi managed to snap some of the guests as they descended on the jazz capital, Serena in her wedding dress eluded the surrounding lenses.

However Serena has shared a personal moment from the day which shows her gorgeous Alexander McQueen gown in all its glory, and fashion bible Vogue has revealed other highlights from the day - including a gorgeous family portrait of husband, wife and new baby girl.

The bride's extravagant princess-style ball gown features strapless sleeves, and was crafted by Sarah Burton - a designer most people now associate with the creation of Kate Middleton's stunning long sleeved lace wedding dress.

For the ceremony, the stylish star wore a striking pearl-encrusted sheer cape, simple matching diamond droplet earrings and diamond bracelet and wore her hair in a side chignon, which she topped off with a long veil.

Groom Alexis went chic in black tie and wore a suit by Georgio Armani. For the ceremony he donned a midnight blue velvet jacket and changed into a more traditional black jacket for the reception.

Serena's bridesmaids wore mismatched gowns, with two maids in gold beaded gowns (and one in a jumpsuit) and maid of honour Venus in a long white custom-made Galia Lahav gown with a sheer deep V-neck.

For the reception the bride changed into a cute short number, which featured feathers on the skirt. Serena's third dress if the day allowed to dance and party to celebrate the occasion. 

Later she donned some sparkly more like tennis shoes while the Disney theme continued with a ride in a Carousel. 

To complete the wedding ensemble mummy Williams also wore a stunning cape while baby Alexis Olympia charmed everyone. The couple's daughter donned a tiny ballgown which featured pearl and stone beading on the sleeves and around the waist. It had a big bow at the back and was worn with tiny knitted pumps with rhinestone detail.
