Fashion at the Oscar's

There was a real whiff of old Hollywood glamour in the wings as starlets upped the fashion ante for the biggest night in the showbiz calendar

Beading and embellishment were in abundance, giving this year’s Oscars a real feel of luxury, which is exactly what you want from your movie stars. Sandra Bullock and Selma Heyek pulled off the look with precision in Elli Saab and Alexander McQueen while Jennifer Hudson and Catherine Zeta Jones dazzled in their skin tight liquid metal creations.
Surprisingly coloured dresses missed the mark this year, looking garish next to the nude hues and metallics on show. Blushes and lavender brightened skin tones underneath intricate bead work and embroidery.

Valentine's day

Make your sweetheart's day with a  valentine gesture.

Saint Valentine's day, commonly known as Valentine's day is the 14th February every year. It is celebrated in many countries around the world, although it remains a working day. The day was associated with romantic love in the High Middle Ages. In the 15th century it evolved as an occasion when lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, giving confectionery and sending greeting cards, known as "valentines".Then in the 19th century handwritten valentines gave way to mass produced greeting cards. Why don't you make something or personally hand pick something for your sweetheart for tomorrow.

Latest work

Ideas are flowing and I just can't  embroider fast enough.
With embroidery so in demand I have so many ideas for brides and their ensembles

Detail of embroidery on tulle with some 3 dimensional petals and leaves

I can create bespoke pieces of embroidery to place wherever we want. Less is more, it doesn't take a lot of embroidery to make something very special.

If you have too much embroidery on a veil it can weigh it down too much, some working small areas is as effective and delicate.

An example of areas of the veil embroidered.
Belts are another popular feature and can be areas of embroidery and beadwork.
